I have been very remiss at keeping my Blog up to date. My excuse is that I haven’t had time! But that is an excuse, I should manage my time better.
I have been very busy with my main interest, that of all things Midland Masters AC! So far this year we have held our Cross Country Championships, annual handicap race, annual relays and AGM as well as being involved with the inaugural EAMA Inter-Area Indoor match, taking entries for the National Masters Open Road Relays and some preparation ready for the Track & Field Championships in June. Juggling this with receiving upwards of 500 + membership renewals and introducing a new database which integrates with the BMAF online entry system plus domestic duties have meant that the year so far has flew by.
I am now looking forward to a relaxing couple of weeks in Spain squeezed in between the National Masters Road Relays and our MMAC Track & Field Championships.
Trying to keep fit has unfortunately taken a back seat. Downloading the “Run keeper” Ap on my ’phone last September did encourage me to take a few more walks but it was short lived.
Another passion is our local parkrun. This weekly free 5k run takes place in Brueton Park, Solihull. I tend to help with the timekeeping and funnel management and thoroughly enjoy it. A group of friendly people with the love of running in common. A breath of fresh air each Saturday morning.
Have just found this post as a draft, which I never published. I will try to update soon!!
