Wow!!! Lots have happened since my last Blog.
My partner’s brother collapsed at work and ended up in the intensive care unit at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch where he was on a ventilator for 6 days. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and on top of that had swine ‘flu. He received tremendous care at Redditch of which we are all very grateful. Once they had sorted out his breathing and the anti-biotics kicked in, his progress was rapid, improving daily.
We had to cancel our scheduled holiday touring California but took the opportunity to totally redecorate his rooms. Under pressure to finish as well as visiting was quite tiring but all ended well.
We managed to celebrate Bernie’s birthday by eating out with friends at a local Indian Restaurant, highly recommended.
My birthday came and we decided to spend the time in Birmingham where we booked tickets for Cirque Du Soleil at the NIA next June and visited the Electric Cinema for a special showing of “Singing in the Rain”. Our first visit to the Electric Cinema was very enjoyable and as the UK’s oldest working cinema, it was a gem.
Now looking forward to Christmas where we hope to spend it in Cornwall visiting my daughter, partner and grandson, Sonny.
Meanwhile I am keeping Midland Masters duties ticking along and in the New Year its full steam ahead with the Tough Guy© Finish Control. Any volunteers to help are welcome!!
